Management Measures of Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology for Students' Exchange and Study Abroad

Chapter 1 General Provisions

Article 1 In order to promote the process of internationalization, expand students' vision, cultivate international and innovative talents, and regulate the management of students' exchange and study abroad, this management method is formulated.

Article 2 The students referred to in these management measures are full-time students registered in Jiangxi Fashion College and have the nationality of the People's Republic of China.

Article 3 Foreign exchange study mainly refers to the activities carried out in foreign universities for the purpose of exchange visits, course study, degree study and scientific research cooperation, etc. It can also be students' participation in various forums, competitions, academic conferences and overseas study tour.

Article 4 Foreign universities refer to universities abroad and universities in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Overseas universities that our students can choose to go to for exchange study include: overseas universities that have signed inter-university exchange agreements with our university; foreign universities recognized by the Ministry of Education (for the list, please refer to the official website of the Ministry of Education for foreign-related supervision information); other foreign universities recognized by our university.

Article 5 Student exchange study programs abroad are divided into three categories according to the nature of the program.

The first category: the national public program

The national public study program to foreign universities refers to the national study abroad fund, reciprocal foreign scholarships, various project scholarships and other funding methods to go abroad for exchange study, including course study, degree study, etc.; other dispatched projects organized by the state or Jiangxi Province.

The second category: the school's public assignment program

Sending students to study or practice (including vacation exchange) projects at each other's schools at public or private expense according to the exchange and cooperation agreements signed between the university and universities abroad (in China).

According to the exchange and cooperation agreement signed between the university and universities in China (abroad), sending students to the other school for study or practice (including vacation exchange) at public or private expense refers to all kinds of projects funded by our university's inter-college exchange program, funded by our university's own funds or paid by students, approved by our university to attend international academic conferences, conduct scientific research cooperation or short-term outbound exchange visits, and funded by the college exchange program.

The third category: students' personal contact projects.

Students' personal contact projects refer to all kinds of study and exchange study projects contacted by students themselves.

Article 6 The selection of students to study abroad follows the principle of "open, fair and just".

Article 7 The courses taken by students in foreign universities must be connected with the training programs and teaching plans of their majors.

Chapter 2 Management Mechanism

Article 8 Students' exchange study abroad is managed by the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, the Office of Academic Affairs, the Office of Academic Affairs and each second-level school.

Article 9 The International Cooperation and Exchange Office and each teaching unit are responsible for expanding the channels for students to go abroad for exchange and study, making sending plans, coordinating the selection and sending work, and assisting students in applying for admission to overseas institutions and going abroad.

Article 10 The Office of Academic Affairs is responsible for improving the cultivation mechanism for students to go abroad for exchange study, organizing the selection of students, and handling the procedures for students to retain their academic status and the recognition of courses, credits and grades taken during their stay abroad.

Article 11 The Office of Student Affairs is responsible for the management of student affairs while students are abroad, and has emergency contact information for students abroad.

Article 12 Each second-level school assigns a person to assist students in making plans for exchange and training abroad, preparing declaration materials, and regularly checking with students abroad about their studies, thoughts and lives.

Chapter3 Application, selection and dispatch of foreign (overseas) projects

Article 13 The International Cooperation and Exchange Office releases specific information on exchange programs, selection targets, conditions and quotas to the whole university in a timely manner according to the student exchange programs signed with foreign partner institutions or research institutes, and selects exchange students by voluntary application and merit. If the exchange program does not have a counterpart or related majors in the other school, in principle, it will not be sent.

Article 14 Applicants for the Study Abroad Program should meet the following basic requirements.

(1) Full-time enrolled students of our university who are officially registered and have the nationality of the People's Republic of China.

(2) Excellent foreign language skills and good physical and mental health.

(3) Excellent academic and performance performance in the University, no illegal or serious disciplinary actions.

(4) Have paid all the fees due to our university, have the financial ability and adaptability to study and live abroad, and students who apply for national student loans during their study period cannot, in principle, apply for the inter-campus exchange program to study abroad (overseas).

(5) Meet the other application requirements specified by the exchange program or the recipient.

(6) The following types of students are not allowed to be sent.

1. Those who have been disciplined by the school with a demerit or above (including demerits)

2. Those who have repeated the subject for more than three times (including three times) during their stay in school

3. Those who are on sick leave for more than half a year or are suffering from illnesses that make it difficult for them to take care of themselves.

4. Other students who are not suitable to study abroad as stipulated by the state.

Article 15 Application and selection process

(1) The application and selection of national public study programs in foreign universities shall be carried out in accordance with the following procedures.

1. The International Cooperation and Exchange Office receives the information of the national public study program, coordinates the allocation of places, issues the notice of program selection, and eachsecond-levelschools(departments) forwards the notice.

2. Applicant students submit the "Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Students Going Abroad (Overseas) Application Form" and related materials to their second-level schools (departments) according to the requirements of the notice

3. Each second-level schools (departments) makes a preliminary selection of the quota assigned to it according to the conditions specified in the selection notice and submits it to the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange.

4. The International Cooperation and Exchange Office will take the lead, together with relevant departments and relevant colleges, to select and review the application materials and determine the final list.

5. The International Cooperation and Exchange Office submits the materials to the President's Office for approval.

6. Each college, in accordance with the declaration requirements of each program, organizes and guides students to make online declarations and instructs selected students to sign study abroad agreements.

7. The International Cooperation and Exchange Office will summarize the application materials and submit them to the higher authorities such as the Department of Education of Jiangxi Province.

(2) According to the exchange and cooperation agreements signed between the university and foreign universities, the application and selection of the project of sending students to study or practice (including vacation exchange) in the other school at public or private expense shall be carried out according to the following process.

1. The International Cooperation and Exchange Office and relevant second-level schools (departments) will coordinate the project information and issue the selection notice.

2. Applicant students submit application materials to their second-level schools (departments) according to the requirements of the notice.

3. Each second-level schools (departments) conducts selection according to the conditions specified in the notice, publicizes the selection results within the unit, prepares internal and external materials, instructs selected students to sign study abroad agreements, and submits them to The International Exchange Department.

4. The International Cooperation and Exchange Office summarizes and reviews the application materials and submits them to the President's Office for approval.

(3) The application and selection of students for individual contact programs is carried out according to the following process.

1. applying students submit application materials to their second-level schools (departments) according to the requirements of the project.

2. Each second-level schools (department) and relevant functional departments review the application materials of students and submit them to the International Cooperation and Exchange Office.

3. The International Cooperation and Exchange Office will summarize the application materials and submit them to the university for approval.

Article 16 Dispatch procedure

(1) Approved to go abroad students should be under the guidance of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office for external contacts, and provide relevant materials as required by the other party, not to contact the other party on their own.

(2)The International Cooperation and Exchange Office and the student signed the "Jiangxi Institute of Fashion students to study abroad exchange commitment" before leaving school.

(3) For those who give up their places without special reasons after being sent out, they are not allowed to participate in any exchange program outside of the university within one year.

Chapter 4 Student enrollment management

Article 17 The study and exchange time abroad is considered part of the entire training process, and the years of study are calculated continuously and counted as part of the school's required years of study.

Article 18 The results of each subject obtained by our students studying abroad should be sent to The International Exchange Department of the University by the partner institution (institution) under seal at the end of each semester.

Article 19 The course grades obtained by the exchange program organized by the school and sent by the public students to study (internship) in schools (institutions) outside China can be converted by the students according to the professional needs and the principle of reciprocity of study by filling out the "Approval Form for Credit Conversion of Exchange Students in Jiangxi Institute of Fashion", which will be confirmed by the responsible leader of the college and submitted to the Academic Affairs Office to be included in the students' study transcripts and exempted from the corresponding courses in our school.

The Academic Affairs Office has the final authority to recognize the above credits and grades.

Article 20 The scientific research results and subsequent results obtained by all kinds of public students during their stay abroad should indicate that the author unit is Jiangxi Institute of Fashion, and can also co-sign the foreign joint training unit.

Article 21 Students who go abroad for exchange study must abide by the school rules and regulations of the host institution and the laws and regulations of that country (region). Discipline and disciplinary actions will be carried out according to the rules and procedures of the host school and recorded in the student's academic record of Jiangxi Institute of Fashion.

Chapter5 Student Management

Article 22 During the period of study and exchange abroad, students should always report to their home schools on their study and life abroad; abide by the laws and regulations of China and the other country as well as the rules and regulations of their host schools; respect the customs and beliefs of the local people and religion; study hard for professional knowledge, abide by the discipline of foreign affairs, pay attention to personal safety, and do nothing to damage the dignity of the country or the friendly relationship between the two schools; and report to the local embassies, consulates or institutions and schools in a timely manner when they encounter major incidents related to the interests and reputation of the country and the schools.

Article 23 If a student has to terminate his/her study and return to school for special reasons while abroad, he/she must submit a written application to the International Cooperation and Exchange Office and the host institution, and may return to school early only after the approval of both schools.

If a student has any of the following circumstances while studying abroad, the university may recall the student early and deal with him/her according to the relevant regulations of the university.

(1) Violation of local laws and regulations or school rules and regulations, and being notified by the host institution to return to the country.

(2) Default in payment of fees to the host institution, which affects the normal operation of the program.

(3) Those who publicly make false statements, maliciously insulting the national character and scandalizing the image of the University.

(4) Those who deliberately provoke friendly relations between the two schools by deception and other means.

(5) Those who are unfit to continue their study abroad due to health reasons.

Article 24 Students are not allowed to transfer to another school for any reason without the consent of the school. If a student changes his or her status outside of the country, changes study units, overstays or fails to complete the study tasks required by the receiving institution for any reason, the university will take appropriate action against the student depending on the circumstances.

Article 25 Students who go abroad must return to school on time for check-in procedures and submit a "report on the visit" to the International Cooperation and Exchange Office and their college within two weeks of their return. Students who overstay their time and do not return to school beyond the approved time limit will be punished according to the regulations on academic registration, or even withdrawn from school. If you wish to extend the period of study abroad after the expiration of the agreement, you must submit a written application to The International Exchange Department, your college and the Academic Affairs Office 60 days before the expiration date.

Article 26 After returning to university, students are obliged to provide relevant information to the person in charge of students' exchange study abroad in their college (department), and to assist the next group of students going to the same institutions to understand the study and life situation abroad.

Article 27 Students who go abroad for exchange study can participate in the scholarship evaluation and merit evaluation of their second-level colleges (classes), and each second-level college (department) shall not omit the various merit evaluation and award work of students.

Article 28 The fees for students during their exchange study abroad will be in accordance with the requirements of the program.

Article 29 Each second-level college (department) should be responsible for the management of students going abroad and assign teachers (counselors or tutors) to be responsible for the guidance and liaison work of students during their study and exchange abroad.

Chapter 7 By-laws

Article 30 Any matters not covered by these regulations shall be handled in accordance with the relevant national policies and the relevant regulations of the university.

Article 31 This regulation is interpreted by the International Cooperation and Exchange Office.

Article 32 This regulations shall be implemented from the date of publication.
