Chapter 1 General Provisions
Article 1 In order to strengthen the standard management of international students, these regulations are formulated in accordance with the spirit of the Regulations on Acceptance of International Students in Higher Education Institutions, the Regulations on Management of Students in General Higher Education Institutions and the Code of Conduct for Students in Higher Education Institutions, and the actual situation of foreign students (hereinafter referred to as "international students") in the university.
Article 2 The international students referred to in these regulations refer to foreign students who hold foreign passports and receive academic education in the university.
Article 3 International students must abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and the rules and regulations of the university, respect Chinese customs and habits, respect their teachers and supervisors, unite with their classmates, and refrain from infringing on the rights and interests of others.
Article 4 International students must abide by the Regulations on the Administration of Religious Activities of Foreigners in the People's Republic of China in order to carry out religious activities in China.
Article 5 International students are not allowed to participate in commercial performances, on-campus and off-campus work-study activities, radio, film and television programs, and foreign-related social surveys without the approval of the InternationalEducation School.
Chapter 2 Management System
Article 6 The management of international students shall be coordinated and implemented by the International EducationSchool, and all relevant departments and faculties (departments) of the university shall incorporate the management of international students into their overall work and planning in accordance with the division of responsibilities.
Article 7 The International EducationSchoolis the administrative department of international students, mainly responsible for organizing international students, handling foreign-related procedures and liaising with foreign countries; arranging the life, teaching and management of international students with relevant faculties (departments) and functional departments; cooperating with relevant government departments to do a good job in the social management of international students.
Article 8 The Academic Affairs Office is responsible for the teaching management of international students, mainly issuing the admission letters, managing the academic registrations and academic results of international students, examining the teaching plans, selecting teaching materials and arranging teaching places of the faculty (department) that admits international students, and issuing the graduation, completion and further training certificates of international students according to the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Education and the university.
Article 9 The faculty (department) of international students is responsible for the teaching management of international students, mainly formulating the teaching plan of international students, organizing teaching and learning training, assigning a person as a tutor to manage the daily study of international students; implementing the on-campus and off-campus places for study and practice of international students; organizing activities such as exchanges, tours and cultural and sports activities for international students regularly in cooperation with the International EducationSchool.
The faculty (department) of international students shall carry out teaching activities in accordance with the psychological and cultural characteristics of international students, care for their study and life and provide practical assistance. The system of study tutors for undergraduate international students can be implemented or outstanding Chinese students can be invited to help and tutor them in their studies.
Article 10 The Logistics Department is responsible for the logistical support of international students, mainly for the removal of domestic rubbish in the buildings, maintenance of indoor living facilities, regular overhaul to ensure integrity and safety of appliances, etc.
Article 11 The Security Department is responsible for the safety and security of international students, mainly to strengthen the patrol and security of the residence of international students, to report and properly deal with possible emergencies in time, to resolve the conflicts and disputes between international students and Chinese citizens, to stop the illegal and disciplinary behaviors of international students in time, and to report the serious cases to the public security and judicial organs for treatment according to law.
Article 12 The Student Affairs Office, the University Youth League Committee, the Finance Office and the Propaganda Department each have their own duties to cooperate in the education and management of international students.
Chapter 3 Enrollment Work
Article 13 The university provides academic education for international students, and the categories of students receiving academic education are: undergraduate students.
Article 14 The International EducationSchool, together with the Admissions Office, is responsible for the enrollment of all kinds of international students. It is responsible for formulating admission criteria, admission methods and regulations, organizing admission propaganda and admission assessment, and handling entry and enrollment procedures for international students.
Article 15 All colleges (departments) shall actively carry out external publicity through their own channels and reach student exchange agreements with institutions in China to attract foreign students to study and further their studies in the university. The agreements reached between colleges (departments) and foreign institutions to accept foreign students must be submitted to the International College for examination and record.
Article 16 In principle, all disciplines and majors set up by the university can accept international students. All colleges (departments) must submit new academic education majors for international students to the Ministry of Education for approval through the Office of Academic Affairs.
Chapter 3 Enrollment Management
Article 17 International students shall report to the university with the Letter of Acceptance and relevant materials and go through the admission procedures.
Article 18 After the International EducationSchoolhas examined the qualifications of the international students, it will go through the admission procedures and record them in the Academic Affairs Office. Students who cannot enroll on time for any reason must apply for a leave of absence from the International EducationSchoolone week before the deadline of arrival, and the leave of absence shall not exceed two weeks in general. Those who do not report to the International EducationSchoolwithout leave or after the leave has been granted will be considered absent from school; those who do not report to the International EducationSchoolfor more than two weeks will be considered to have given up their enrollment status.
Article 19 Within 24 hours after the international students arrive at the university, the International EducationSchool, together with the Security Office, will go to the public security department for registration and assist the international students to apply for residence procedures within 30 days, and submit the relevant materials to the Security Office for record and other related procedures.
Article 20 International students shall pay all fees at the Finance Office when they report for admission. The items and fees are charged in accordance with the relevant regulations of the state and the university, and the fees are charged in RMB and are charged according to the academic year.
Article 21 Within one month after admission, the International EducationSchoolshall organize international students to go to the designated health and quarantine department for medical examination, and those who do not meet the health standards shall leave the country immediately and pay for their own travel expenses.
Article 22 In order to protect the legal rights and interests of international students, according to the Provisional Regulations on the Requirement of Foreign Students to Take Insurance in Higher Education Institutions (No. 1078, 2007), all international students who have studied in our university for more than one semester (including one semester) must take insurance during their study period, and the cost of insurance shall be borne by the international students themselves.
Chapter 4 Teaching Management
Article 23 The teaching management of international students in China is implemented with reference to the management methods of Chinese students and is managed by the Office of Academic Affairs according to relevant regulations.
Article 24 The quality monitoring and guarantee of the cultivation of international students in China shall be strengthened. In the mid-term teaching inspection of each semester, the International EducationSchool, together with the quality monitoring department, shall arrange special seminars for international students to listen to their opinions and suggestions; each college shall strengthen the attendance of international students, regularly inform the International EducationSchoolof the attendance of international students, and work with the International EducationSchoolto supervise international students to complete each teaching session on time.
Article 25 The colleges shall arrange the study of international students receiving academic education according to the unified teaching plan of the Academic Affairs Office and carry out educational and teaching activities in accordance with the psychological and cultural characteristics of international students. Under the premise of ensuring the quality of teaching, the study plans of international students can be adjusted appropriately.
Article 26 In case of changes in the academic status of international students or rewards and punishments, all colleges and relevant departments shall promptly report to the International EducationSchool, which shall inform the relevant departments at higher levels and the embassies and consulates of relevant countries in China according to different situations.
Article 27 The university's network and information management centre, library and laboratory training studio and other teaching and support services shall provide international students with the same learning conditions and services as Chinese students according to the teaching needs.
Article 28 The university shall issue graduation certificates (certificates of completion or non-completion) or written academic certificates to international students according to relevant regulations, and issue degree certificates to international students who have obtained degrees. The university can provide foreign language translation of the above certificates according to the needs.
Chapter 5 Student Work
Article 29 The Office of Academic Affairs and the units of the university accepting international students shall educate and manage international students in accordance with relevant national laws and regulations and the regulations of the university. International students shall be taught to obey the law, respect the social morals and customs of China, and abide by the school rules and regulations.
Article 30 Each college (department) shall organize international students to voluntarily participate in activities to learn about Chinese society and history and culture as well as cultural and sports activities that are beneficial to physical and mental health. Chinese and foreign students are encouraged to participate in various subject competitions, sports competitions and cultural and artistic activities organized by the university.
Article 31 The university respects the national customs and religious beliefs of international students, but it is strictly forbidden for international students to engage in missionary and religious gathering activities on campus.
Article 32 International students enjoy the holidays in China and the summer and winter vacations in our university. In general, international students will not be granted holidays on major holidays in their home countries, but they may be granted holidays at their discretion according to their applications, no more than twice in each academic year.
Article 33 International students must apply for leave from their faculties (departments) and go to the International EducationSchoolfor record when they leave the university or go out on holidays. International students must abide by the regulations on theft prevention, fire prevention, deception prevention, epidemic prevention, traffic and personal safety when traveling or engaging in other off-campus activities; the university shall not be responsible for any problems that occur off-campus.
Article 34 The International EducationSchool, together with the relevant colleges and departments, shall deal with emergencies such as drunkenness, fights and traffic accidents on and off campus in accordance with the Emergency Plan for International Students of Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology.
Article 35 International students shall not be employed or engaged in business or other business activities while studying in school, but they can participate in work-study activities according to the regulations of the university. All departments accepting international students to work and study shall file with the International EducationSchoolin time and strengthen the guidance for international students' work and study activities.
Article 36 The university provides accommodation in international student dormitories for international students, who shall strictly abide by the regulations of international student dormitories. International students shall take care of the living facilities and various articles in the rooms, and shall compensate for any damage or loss of articles in the rooms at the price.
Article 37 International students' friends and relatives must report to the International EducationSchoolin advance when they visit the dormitory. It is strictly forbidden to stay in the dormitory without permission.
Chapter 6 Leaving the University
Article 38 Upon graduation or completion of their studies, international students shall go through the departure procedures in the departure system and return the borrowed books, student cards, library cards and other items to the relevant departments, settle the accounts, and then submit the "Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology Departure Form" printout to the International EducationSchool, which shall be examined and approved before they can leave the college.
Article 39 The day before the departure of international students, they should report to the International EducationSchool, return all daily necessities, return the housing keys, and settle the relevant expenses in the housing.
Article 40 International students who have graduated or completed their studies shall leave the university within two weeks after completing their studies. If there are special reasons for delaying the departure, they should explain the reasons to the International EducationSchooland obtain consent, but they cannot apply for the extension of residence permit or entry/exit visa as international students again.
Chapter 7 By-laws
Article 41 Any matters not covered by these regulations shall be handled in accordance with the relevant national policies and the relevant regulations of the university.
Article 42 These regulations shall be implemented from the date of publication and shall be interpreted by the International EducationSchool.
