Chapter1 General Provisions

Article 1 In order to promote the healthy development of the education of international students in the university, motivate international students to study hard and make progress, and promote the smooth development of talent cultivation and cultural exchange in the university, these measures are formulated in accordance with the Measures for the Administration of the Recruitment and Cultivation of International Students in Schools and the Measures for the Administration of the Jiangxi Provincial Government Scholarship for Foreign Students (Temporary) jointly formulated by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Public Security, and combined with the actual situation of international students in the university. The actual situation of international students in the university, this policy is formulated.

Chapter2 Application Requirements

Article 2 The basic conditions for applying for the scholarship are as follows

(1) Applicants must have foreign nationality, hold foreign passports, be friendly to China and be in good health.

(2) The applicant shall abide by the laws and regulations of the Chinese government, meet the admission requirements of the university, have good grades and be of good conduct.

(3) Applicants should pay tuition and fees, accommodation fees and other related fees on time and go through the visa residency procedures in a timely manner, have excellent academic performance, be motivated and in good standing, and have not been disciplined by the school (including the college they attend) or above. No misconduct, no violation of Chinese laws and regulations and school discipline.

(4) The applicant actively participates in various public welfare activities and social practice activities organized by the school or college.

(5) The conditions for applying for the Jiangxi Provincial Scholarship for Foreign Students shall refer to the administrative measures of the Jiangxi Provincial Government Scholarship for Foreign Students.

(6) Students who are not concurrently awarded other types of scholarships by Chinese governments at all levels.

(7) The following cases are not eligible for the scholarship.

1. Students who apply for suspension of studies and those who apply for resumption of studies in the current year.

2. Students who have been approved to skip a grade.

3. Exchange students in the year of exchange and in the year of resumption of studies.

4. Students who have been retained or relegated during the period of retention or relegation.

Chapter 3 Conditions and Criteria of the Award

Article 3 The award is mainly for overseas students who have been admitted to the university and have been studying in the university for one year or more, who are excellent in character and friendly to China. The scholarships for international students are divided into the first, second, third, fourth and fifth grades.

Article 4 Specific Criteria

(1) First-class scholarship: the top 10% of the total score of the overall quality assessment in the same major of the year and the top 10% of the average grade of the courses in the same major of the year.

(2) Second-class scholarship: top 20% of the overall score of the same major in the same year in the comprehensive quality assessment, and top 20% of the average grade of the same major in the same year in the course.

(3) Third-class scholarship: top 30% of the overall quality assessment score of the same major in the same year, and top 30% of the average course grade in the same major in the same year.

(4) Fourth-class scholarship: top 40% of the overall quality assessment score of the same major in the same year, and top 40% of the average course grade in the same major in the same year.

(5) Fifth-class scholarship: top 50% of the overall quality assessment score of the same major in the year, and top 50% of the average course grade of the same major in the year.

The amount of the award is subject to the scholarship allocation scheme of the year.

Chapter4 Scholarship Selection and Awarding Procedures

Article 5 All eligible students may submit applications in accordance with the relevant regulations of the university, and the application forms will be submitted to the The InternationalEducation Schoolin September each year after examination by the students' colleges.

Article 6 The InternationalEducation Schoolshall draw up the rules and regulations for the selection of scholarships according to the specific projects and funding arrangements of the University, organise the selection process, and submit the application form to the head of the University for approval and public announcement.

Article 7 The university authorizes the InternationalEducation Schoolto manage the funds and earmark them for special use.

Article 8 The scholarship for international students shall be granted by the Finance Office on time in accordance with the financial aid scheme and the amount of financial aid.

Article 9 The scholarship shall be cancelled if any of the following circumstances occurs to the scholarship recipient.

(1) Violation of Chinese laws and regulations during the study period.

(2) Participating in the activities of illegal associations, illegal gatherings, associations, missionary work, etc.

(3) Spreading unfriendly remarks or committing unfriendly acts against China

(4) Seriously violating university rules and regulations and failing to complete all other teaching activities.

Article 10 If the scholarship recipient fails to go through the registration procedures in accordance with the school's regulations, he/she will be regarded as having automatically forfeited the scholarship for the school year.

Chapter5 By-laws

Article 11 Any matters not covered by these Measures shall be handled in accordance with the relevant national policies and the relevant rules and regulations of the University.

Article 12 The evaluation of scholarships for students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan shall be carried out with reference to these Measures.

Article 13 The Measures shall be implemented on a trial basis from the date of publication, andInternational Exchange Departmentshall be responsible for their interpretation.
