NABA is an educational institution focused on art and design. It is the largest private college in Italy and became the first private college recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities, and Research (MIUR) in 1980. And also obtained certification from the Chinese Ministry of Education.

As a certified college, NABA offers diplomas equivalent to first and second level university degrees, taught in both Italian and English, offering majors in design, fashion design, graphic design, multimedia, visual arts, and set stage design. In 1980, Ausonio Zappa, Guido Ballo and Gianni Colombo, famous artists and art critic, established the Academy in Milan. The purpose of the college is to break through rigid academic traditions and introduce a perspective and language that is closer to contemporary art practice and innovative career systems.

NABA combines interdisciplinary approaches with a methodology of "practice leads to true knowledge" and a learning approach that delves into cultural, design, and artistic life. The college cooperates with many Italian and international companies and institutions to provide students with internship opportunities, so as to better develop students' critical thinking, teamwork, problem-solving ability and practical design skills.
