​Deepening Cross-Strait Educational Co-operation|Professor Liu Hongjing from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, paid an exchange visit to our university.

On 28th November, 2024, Professor Liu Hongjing, PhD in Business Management from Huron University, Professor of School of Management of National Chengchi University, and Chairman of Zijintang Group, was invited to our university for an exchange visit. Tu Yanping, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University, warmly received Professor Liu in Room 320 of the Administration Building. Chairman Tu expressed his sincere welcome to Prof Liu's visit and highly praised his outstanding achievements in academic research and business management, and invited Prof Liu to attend the 2025 Jiangshi International Art Festival and deliver a keynote report at the International Forum. Professor Liu said that he has a deep relationship with Jiangxi Garment College, and this is his eleventh visit, carrying a deep emotion and good expectations for the college. He thanked the past chairmen, teachers and students for their warm reception and presented Zijintang health books to Mr Tu Yanping. Chairman Tu returned a souvenir to the College to express his gratitude and respect.

In the afternoon, Professor Liu gave a special lecture entitled "Forging Business Thinking and Enhancing Competitiveness in the Workplace" in the Lecture Hall on the ground floor of the Administration Building, which was attended by more than 150 student representatives from various colleges. The lecture was hosted by Liu Youfa, Director of International Exchange and Co-operation Office.

Starting from the phenomenon of globalisation and anti-globalisation, Prof. Liu combined his own academic and management experience and analysed in depth the core competencies needed by college students to compete in the workplace. Through illustrations and photos of world-renowned universities and enterprises, he elaborated on the cross-cultural cognition, communication and coordination, problem solving, independent learning and critical thinking, as well as the ability to quickly adapt to changes that modern international talents should possess. At the same time, he emphasised that observation, keen perception and broad-mindedness are the key qualities of talents in the new era, and that college students should improve themselves in the "eight lessons" of learning, perspectives, creativity, tolerance, kindness, change, co-operation and leadership, and perfect their personalities in the "four spheres" of tolerance, introspection, humility and gratitude. In the "four spheres" of tolerance, introspection, humility and gratitude, the personality is perfected. During the lecture, Prof Liu actively interacted with the students and helped them to clarify the direction of future development through questions and discussions. Professor Liu's informative lecture not only broadened the students' international perspective, but also provided practical advice on their career planning, winning applause from the audience.
