On December 18th, at the invitation of the President of the Istituto Modartech, Professor Xue Jiabao, President of Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology, led a delegation to visit the Italian Institute of Fashion Communication to discuss educational cooperation projects, expand the channels of international exchanges and cooperation, and promote the internationalization of the school.
Professor Gan Yingjin, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Professor Liu Youfa, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, and Professor Zhang Ning, Dean of the School of Fashion Design, accompanied the visit. Alessandro Bertini, President of the school, Gianni Bicchi, Director of Academic Affairs of the school, Riccardo Costagliola, President of the Piaggio Foundation, and other Italian leaders participated in the reception.
In the office building of the main campus of theIstituto Modartech, President Xue and his entourage held talks with the president of the school and the person in charge of the cooperative education project. President Xue introduced the 30-year development history, achievements and future development orientation of JIFT, and hoped to jointly promote the development of the two universities to a new level through high-quality project cooperation. The president of the school congratulated and appreciated the achievements made by JIFT in the past 30 years, and looked forward to further multi-level and multi-dimensional exchanges and cooperation with JIFT.
Founded in 1974, the Istituto Modartech is located in Pisa, in the historic Tuscany region of central Italy, just 30 km from Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance. The director of the Piaggio Museum personally accompanied Principal Xue and his delegation to visit the museum and explain it personally, and then visited the school office area and some classrooms. After the meeting, President Xue invited the president of the Italian Fashion Communication Institute to visit our school, and the leaders of the Italian school also invited our school to participate in the 2024 Milan Fashion Week Outstanding Graduate Show Competition, and then the two sides presented souvenirs to each other and took a group photo.
