At 14:00 on 16th October 2023, our university held an online inter-university cooperation and exchange meeting with Sehan University in South Korea, which was hosted by the head of the International Exchange and CooperationDepartment. The Chinese side was represented by Gan Yingjin, deputy director of International Cooperation and Exchange Committee, the head of International Exchange and CooperationDepartment(dean of College of International Education), and the leaders ofSchool of ArtDesign andSchoolof Big Data, while the Korean side was represented by Park Sujin, dean of College of International Exchange, and Liao Xuan, vice dean of College of International Exchange. The online meeting was the first meeting between the twouniversitiesin communicating and matching the cooperation projects between them.
At the meeting, the person in charge of International Exchange and Co-operation Office firstly introduced the basic situation of the school, the faculty and department settings, the talent cultivation concept and the achievements of our international exchange and co-operation. He hoped to take the opportunity of this co-operation to help students and teachers to expand their international vision and improve their professional skills. He was looking forward to the cooperation projects between the two universities and invited the delegation of Sehan University to visit our university.
Park Sujin, Dean of International Exchange School of Sehwan University, said that Sehwan University, as one of the international universities in Korea, has rich experience in undergraduate and master's degree programmes,doctoral programmes, short-term exchanges and visits, student exchanges and so on. Afterwards, Park made a detailed introduction of the characteristics and advantages of the aircrew profession of the university.
Participants from the twouniversities had an in-depth exchange of views on the cooperation projects such as exchange visits and academic upgrading of teachers and exchange of students in professional disciplines. In addition, Zhang Xuelin, vice dean of the School of Big Data, exchanged views with the Korean side on the cultivation mode of the student exchange programme and the curriculum of the big data major.
Gan Yingjin, deputy director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Committee, expressed that our university attaches great importance to international exchange work, and hoped that with this online meeting as an opportunity, the two sides would establish a friendly relationship of international exchanges and cooperation, and promote theinternalizationdevelopment of the two universities. After this meeting, the two sides reached a preliminary intention of cooperation, laying a foundation for the subsequent specific joint training of students.
