From April 13 to 16, 2026, the 2026 IFFTI Annual Conference was grandly held at RMIT University Vietnam Campus in Ho Chi Minh City.
Led by Professor Xue Jiabao, Honorary President of Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology, JIFT’s delegation attended the event by invitation. Also in the delegation were Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Office Mr. Liu youfa, Deputy Dean of the School of Fashion Design Ms. Chen Xiaoling, Deputy Dean of the School of Fashion Engineering Ms. Liao Shiqin and RMIT Lifetime Honorary University Fellow Ms. Guosheng Chen.
Representatives from top fashion education institutions and esteemed industry experts across 23 countries gathered at the conference to discuss innovative development pathways for global fashion education and draw up blueprints for in-depth cross-border inter-university cooperation.
As a new member of IFFTI, Honorary President Xue Jiabao delivered a comprehensive presentation at the conference. He systematically introduced JIFT's innovative practices and remarkable achievements in key areas such as textile and fashion programs development, application-oriented talent cultivation, industry-education integration, and international exchange. His speech garnered high recognition and widespread attention from the attending guests.
During the conference, JIFT delegation was honored to meet with Professor Alice Payne, Dean of the School of Fashion & Textiles of RMIT. Multiple consensuses on cooperation were reached.
Furthermore, the delegation paid an on-site visit to the School of Communication & Design at RMIT University Vietnam Campus in Ho Chi Minh City.
This overseas trip represents a pivotal initiative for JIFT to fully implement its internationalization strategy, deeply integrate into the global fashion education network, and expand its portfolio of international partnerships.
