
On the morning of November 4, 2025, Professor Liang Weiqiang, Associate Vice-President and Director of Institute of Knowledge Exchange of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, and his delegation visited JIFT. The exchange event was hosted by Liu Youfa, Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation of JIFT. Extensive discussions were held on cooperation projects including faculty and student exchange visits.


During the meeting, Professor Liang Weiqiang shared the development, characteristics and educational philosophy of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong as the starting point.
He noted: "The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong has always emphasized the integration of technology and education, and excels in empowering teaching and research with AI technology.For instance, modules such as AI data analysis and intelligent simulation are integrated into professional curriculum design to enhance students’ digital competence.Meanwhile, the university also attaches great importance to campus ecological development. Bamboo is specially planted on campus, which not only creates an elegant environment but also provides a nature-oriented practical observation setting for relevant majors."

The talks included student exchanges, off-campus internship expansion, and fashion laboratories. Both also preliminarily explored cooperation models of different durations, including short-term, medium-term and long-term, and mentioned the potential for collaboration with other Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area universities such as The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Both sides expressed the expectation to carry out substantial cooperation in multiple fields going forward, so as to promote resource sharing and coordinated development.
