Pre-Departure Training was held for Teachers and Students Participating in the Italy-China Fashion Summit 2025 in Milan

At 10:00 a.m. on September 19, 2025, JIFT held a pre-departure training for teachers and students participating in the Italy-China Fashion Summit 2025 in Milan. The meeting was held in the conference room on the second floor of the Administrative Building.

President Xue Jiabao, Vice President Ma Guozhao attended the meeting. Teachers including Professor Chen Long from the School of Fashion Design and other students also participated. The meeting was presided over by Liu Youfa, Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation.It aims to provide systematic and comprehensive pre-departure guidance for the teachers and students who were about to go abroad.

At the meeting, President Xue, with real-life cases, provided in-depth and easy-to-understand guidance on political security, personal safety, property safety, foreign-related etiquette, team discipline and other aspects.

He pointed out that this is the first large-scale international event participated by teachers and students representatives and everyone must put political discipline first. And all participants should prioritize personal safety. Meanwhile, representatives must strictly abide by the laws and regulations of the destination country, respect local customs and practices. In foreign exchanges, they should remain modest and prudent while demonstrating cultural confidence, be neither humble nor arrogant, and show the good image and youthful spirit of JIFT teachers and students.

Professor Chen Long, winner of the 29th China Fashion Design “Top Award” and faculty member of the School of Fashion Design at JIFT, will present his brand CHEN.1988 at the Italy-China Fashion Summit 2025 in Milan on September 27, staging a special show themed “The Ideal Autumn”.

It is reported that the Italy-China Fashion Summit 2025 is themed “Forging a new era of fashion collaboration”.Co-hosted by the China National Garment Association, the China Fashion Association, and the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, the event is a high-profile industry gathering supported by multi-sectoral institutions from both countries.It serves not only as a cultural tribute to the 55th anniversary of China-Italy diplomatic relations and the 50th anniversary of China-EU diplomatic relations, but also uses fashion as a medium to write a new chapter of “civilizational exchange and industrial prosperity” amid the global changes unseen in a century.
