From October 28 to November 2, 2024, the International Fashion Art Festival was grandly held at Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology. More than 30 international student representatives from Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, Jiangxi University of Technology, Jiangxi Vocational and Technical University of Software, and Jiangxi Foreign Studies and Foreign Trade College were invited to participate.
They came from over ten countries, including Morocco, Mongolia, Algeria, Bangladesh, Malawi, Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda, and Vietnam. During the event, a great number of exquisite fashion works were brilliantly presented, skillfully integrating fashion elements and innovative thinking, and vividly interpreting the creators’ unique perspectives on fashion art. It offered a double feast for both the eyes and the soul to the international students who traveled from afar.
During the festival, international students actively participated in various interactive activities. They had in-depth exchanges with teachers and students of Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology, sharing their understanding and views on fashion art, and spoke highly of the unique charm of the university’s fashion art education.During the campus tour, international students were deeply attracted by the strong artistic atmosphere and distinctive campus culture, and expressed their expectation for more opportunities to study and communicate here in the future. Their presence also added rich international colors and diverse cultural elements to the International Fashion Art Festival.
Mohammad Saiyedul Islam, an international student from Bangladesh, said: "I am delighted to participate in and experience such an event. It is a powerful way to deepen international students’ understanding of traditional Chinese culture and aesthetics, build a bridge for cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, and enhance mutual cultural understanding among different countries. I believe this is a very meaningful endeavor."
BOUROUINA MOURAD FARES, an international student from Algeria, visited Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology for the first time. He said that the campus environment was extremely beautiful and impressive, and the fashion show was amazing, bringing him many novel experiences.
Through this opportunity, international students deeply appreciated the unique charm of China’s fashion art education. The event gave them a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of Chinese fashion, while also sparking their strong interest in costume culture.Fashion and art know no borders, and the charm of apparel culture shines even more brilliantly through exchange.
